I love planners! I love planners, journals, pens, sticky notes…..you get the gist.

If you don’t already know, there is a pretty big planner community online. I spend a ridiculous amount of time watching YouTube planning videos (I am not sorry about it either).

And I will spend a ridiculous amount of money on planners. I will buy a $60 (or more) planner if I think that planner will get my life together. I love ordering the planner, receiving the planner, and using the planner. Until……I see another planner and this planner is the One – you know, this is the one that’s really going to get my life together.. And so on I go ordering planners all year long. In the planner community we call this “planner hopping”.

Why Traditional Planners Aren’t Working for Me Anymore

Most planners are built for consistency. I am not. My brain runs in seasons: high energy, burnout, hyperfocus, executive dysfunction, and back again. Fixed layouts, rigid schedules, and tiny boxes made me feel boxed in. I’d either feel behind or bored. And then I found Tula XII. Stick with me.

Tula XII Planners – What are they?

Tula XII Planners are designed in the tradition of a Traveler’s Notebook. You choose the covers (there are plenty of aesthetically pleasing covers to choose from – as well as sizes). Then you choose your inserts (the paper has a great feel and the inserts come in many different designs). These aren’t just planners – they are life organizors!

What Makes Tula XII ADHD-Friendly

Here’s why Tula XII became my planner soulmate:

1. Modular Design = Mental Flexibility

With Tula XII, I choose which inserts go in and which don’t. I’m not forced to use a layout that doesn’t serve me anymore. Right now, I use:

  • A monthly view for zooming out (less pressure than daily planning)
  • A brain dump section for the chaotic thoughts
  • A gratitude journaling insert for mental grounding

When something isn’t working, I just take it out — no drama.

2. Sensory-Safe + Pretty (Without Being Overstimulating)

The soft covers, neutral tones, and smooth paper are a sensory win for me— it feels cozy and mine.

3. I Can Start Anywhere

Did I “miss” March? That’s okay. I don’t have to skip pages and feel guilty. I just pop in a fresh April insert and keep going.

How I Use Tula XII for My ADHD Life

Planning for ADHD isn’t just about productivity — it’s about peace.

  • Time blocking + brain breaks
  • Mood tracking
  • Routine building

Cozy Takeaway

If your ADHD brain craves structure but also rebels against it, Tula XII might just be the bridge you’ve been looking for. It’s flexible, forgiving, and as cozy as you make it.
